AP CALCULUS BC Prep Course

Course Description: This course is for students preparing the AP Calculus Test, with an emphasis on the BC Test. It focuses on comprehensive review and examination practice and strategies. The course will cover topics and skills that are essential for solving medium and difficult questions in the test. Students will increase their mathematical knowledge and ability for passing AP Calculus Test with a high score by learning new ideas and skills.
Teaching Strategy: The course does not intend to be a substitution of the standard AP Calculus course. It focuses on the difficult topics and common mistakes in AP Calculus learning. Each lecture covers a few topics, whose contents come from different chapters but have intrinsic relations. After students complete the course, they will have a comprehensive understanding for Calculus and will increase their skills for AP Calculus Test.
Homework: After each class, a student is expected to complete a practice of AP Calculus Test.

Homework: After each class, students are expected to complete a set of problems from the AP Java Test as it relates to the topic discussed that week as outlined below.
Teaching and Learning Strategy: Our objective in this course is to apply the Java programming principles to quickly and efficiently solve the problems in the AP CS A Java test. We will identify common pitfalls and issues students face in the exam and equip students with the skills required to tackle the exam with confidence. We focus on an essential topic each week and attempt to solve problems related to these topics. We intend to have an interactive and highly spirited classroom environment with an emphasis on algorithmic thinking and fostering a collaborative learning spirit. After students complete the course, they will have a comprehensive understanding of the foundational Java language and be equipped for the AP Test.
